About the Role
We are seeking a Sales Assistant / Back Up Delivery Driver to join our team at our Fitzroy store on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. In this dual-function role, you will be the backbone of our retail operations, providing outstanding customer service whilst also supporting our delivery operations when required. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a diverse skill set within a dynamic retail environment, combining front-of-house customer engagement with back-of-house logistics support. Your contribution will be essential to maintaining our reputation for efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

- Providing exceptional customer service to walk-in clients and telephone enquiries, assisting with product selection and purchases
- Processing sales transactions accurately using our point-of-sale systems and handling cash and card payments
- Maintaining a well-organised, clean and fully stocked retail workplace, including shelving, displays and storage areas
- Supporting inventory management by conducting stock checks, receiving deliveries and updating stock records
- Acting as back-up delivery driver,



assisting with vehicle loading and delivering orders to customers
- Providing product knowledge and recommendations to customers, answering queries about office supplies and equipment
- Processing customer orders and coordinating delivery arrangements

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience in retail, customer service or a similar role is advantageous
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with diverse customers
- A proactive and reliable attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical fitness and capability to undertake manual handling and occasional delivery driving duties
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills
- A valid driving licence and clean driving record (essential for the back-up delivery driver component)
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- A willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks within a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling transactions and stock management
