About Us

L&A; Pressure Welding Pty Ltd is a family-owned Australian engineering and manufacturing business based in Revesby.

For more than 45 years, we have delivered engineered-to-order pressure equipment, piping, fabrication and project solutions across the energy, water, chemical, defence and infrastructure sectors.

Our projects move through engineering, procurement, workshop manufacture and site installation, creating a varied environment where good coordination and communication are essential.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Project Delivery Manager to help coordinate the successful delivery of projects across our business.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will work closely with our Project Managers, Project Engineers, Workshop Supervisor and Site teams to ensure projects remain organised, priorities are clear and resources are being directed where they are needed most.

You will provide day-to-day guidance to the project team, help resolve competing priorities and maintain a clear view of what is happening across the project portfolio.

You will also work closely with workshop leadership to establish project priorities and ensure production activities align with customer commitments and upcoming site works.

This is a practical role for someone who enjoys being close to the work, bringing people together and helping turn plans into completed projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating the delivery of multiple projects from engineering through workshop manufacture and site completion

- Providing day-to-day leadership and support to Project Managers and Project Engineers

- Maintaining visibility of project priorities, milestones and upcoming requirements

- Working with the Workshop Supervisor to establish and communicate production priorities

- Helping balance available labour and resources across competing projects

- Identifying delivery risks, bottlenecks and upcoming resource constraints

- Coordinating workshop completion with site activities and mobilisation requirements

- Supporting site readiness and upcoming site works

- Helping resolve project issues before they become larger delivery problems

- Keeping management informed of project status, priorities and emerging risks

- Communicating with customers regarding project progress and delivery where required

- Supporting practical recovery plans when priorities or delivery dates change

- Helping improve communication and coordination between Projects, Workshop and Site teams

About You

We are looking for someone who understands that delivering projects is rarely about following a perfect plan.

You will be comfortable dealing with changing priorities, different personalities and several projects competing for the same resources.

You are likely to have experience in engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, mechanical projects, industrial construction or a similar project environment.

You will ideally bring:

- Experience in project delivery, project management, project engineering or manufacturing projects

- Experience coordinating multiple projects or work packages

- An understanding of workshop, fabrication or manufacturing environments

- Strong organisational and communication skills

- The confidence to make practical decisions and recommendations

- The ability to work effectively with engineers, tradespeople, supervisors and customers

- An understanding of project programmes, drawings and technical documentation

- Good commercial awareness

- Competent computer skills

- A current Australian driver’s licence

- Full Australian working rights

A trade, engineering or project-management background would be highly regarded.

Experience with pressure equipment, piping,

mechanical fabrication or industrial site works would be advantageous but is not essential.

Who Could This Role Suit?

We are open to candidates from several backgrounds.

You may currently be working as a:

- Project Manager

- Project Engineer

- Senior Project Coordinator

- Assistant Project Manager

- Manufacturing Project Manager

- Workshop or Production Supervisor with strong project exposure

You may already have broad experience but be looking for the opportunity to step into a role with greater responsibility across multiple projects.

We are not necessarily looking for someone who has previously held the title Project Delivery Manager.

We are looking for someone with the judgement, communication skills and organisational ability to grow into the position.

How the Role Fits

The Project Delivery Manager reports to the Operations Manager and provides coordination and leadership across the project-delivery function.

The role works closely with the:

- Project Managers

- Project Engineers

- Workshop Supervisor

- Site Supervisor and Site teams

- Engineering and Quality functions

- General Manager

The Workshop Supervisor remains responsible for the direct management, safety, quality and productivity of workshop personnel.

The Project Delivery Manager helps determine which projects require priority and how the overall workload is coordinated across Projects, Workshop and Site.

What We’re Looking For Personally

The right person will:

- Take ownership rather than wait to be told every next step

- Be organised without needing everything to be perfect

- Communicate clearly and follow through

- Be comfortable asking difficult questions when something does not look right

- Stay calm when priorities change

- Build good working relationships across the business

- Understand when to make a decision and when to escape

- Think beyond their own project and consider what is best for the wider business

- Enjoy helping a team deliver rather than simply reporting on what has happene

Be careful - Don’t provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs. Don't transfer any money or complete suspicious online surveys. If you see something suspicious, report this job ad .
