Principal / Senior Environmental Scientist

We are currently looking for an experienced Principal / Senior Environmental Scientist to join our highly regarded NSW Setting & Planning team, to work on several state significant development applications and to provide environmental management support for major resource and renewable energy projects across Australia.

About You
Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications in environmental science, natural resource management, environmental law, engineering, or other relevant discipline.
Experience
5 to 10 years’ experience (Senior)
and 10+ years’ experience (Principal) in environmental approvals, environmental management and/or consulting, preferably in the resources and/or renewable energy sector. Experience in NSW State Significant Development and Commonwealth approvals and environmental legislative requirements is highly desirable.
Technical Knowledge
Understanding of a broad range of environmental technical areas.
Skills
Excellent communication, report writing, and teamwork skills.
Legislation Knowledge
Up-to-date knowledge of the latest environmental legislation and industry best practices.
Autonomy
Ability to work autonomously, manage multidisciplinary projects, and mentor junior professionals.
Passion
Highly motivated individual with a proactive "can do" attitude, able to engage with clients, regulators, technical consultants, and peers.
