They are seeking a Systems Administrator on a 2-year fixed-term contract to support their IT Infrastructure.

About The Role

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the reliable operation, security and performance of Credit Union SA's IT infrastructure. Reporting to the IT Service Enablement Manager, you will work closely with the wider IT & Security team and business stakeholders to ensure systems remain stable and secure. This is an initial two-year fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities Include

- Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, user accounts and access controls, supporting identity and authentication practices across the organisation.
- Install, configure and maintain physical and virtual server environments, manage Microsoft operating systems and administer virtualisation platforms and support Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Monitor system health, performance and capacity,



perform regular patching and maintenance, and proactively resolve issues.
- Manage backup and restore processes and maintain disaster recovery procedures to support business continuity.
- Implement system hardening aligned to Zero Trust principles, maintain secure configuration baselines, remediate vulnerabilities and support audits and penetration testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents, provide escalation support to the Service Desk, and lead root cause and problem management.
- Identify opportunities to automate tasks and improve system efficiency, security posture and cost.
- Write and maintain system documentation, and collaborate closely with the IT & Security team, vendors and business stakeholders.

ABOUT YOU

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Demonstrate

- Experience in the IT industry, with strong hands-on experience supporting Microsoft hybrid cloud environments.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Proven experience supporting VMware virtualisation platforms, along with end-user computing, desktop environments and endpoints.
- Solid understanding of DNS, directory services and enterprise identity architecture.
- Proven ability to operate autonomously in a BAU-intensive environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across business and IT stakeholders.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on quality, reliability and business alignment.
- Ability to work an on-call roster
