RCP is a professional project management consultancy services firm based in the Brisbane CBD and we are seeking an experienced part time Accounts Assistant to join our head office finance team.
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant and Finance Director, the Accounts Officer is essential to providing support through using a solid understanding of standard accounting practices to add value to our national team.
This role operates from our Brisbane CBD office 5 days a week for approximately 4-6 hours each day (approximately 0.7 FTE).
Key Responsibilities:
- Full function accounts payable (low volume, high detail)
- Managing accounts payable & accounts receivable inboxes
- Compiling, coding and preparing accounts payable for approval (including ledger coding and tracking categories)
- Compiling and reconciling credit card accounts and expense claims
- Providing support with payroll functions including leave registers and records management
- Provide accounts receivable support, statements, reconciliations and collections
- Detailed account reconciliations using Excel
- Assisting other members of the finance & administration team as required
About You:
- Past experience with Xero software essential (accounts payable, receivable and payroll essential)
- A minimum of 3-5 years previous experience in a similar role (preferably in private consulting service businesses)
- High level of accuracy & attention to detail
- Strong Excel skills – including formulas, charts, pivot tables and formatting
- Proficient in MS Word & Outlook
- Accounting qualifications Cert IV or bachelor degree in accounting preferred
