We have more opportunities on the horizon in the Brisbane & greater QLD regionand are seeking experiencedCivil Roads Inspectors -interested in joining usand capable of committing to the following assignments for an initial 1 - 2 year durations with the possibility of ongoing extensions and other projects.
The purpose of these roles are to inspect the construction of Asphalt roadworks to Transport and Main Roads' (DTMR) quality specifications & standards at IR03(B07) 'Pre-Qualified' level.
(Note: If you are a Civil Roadworks Supervisor , we may be able to assist you with the transition to becoming 'pre-qualified' as an IR01, to IR02 &/or IR03 or improving your current Category over time).
Responsibilities
- Use comprehensive knowledge of TMR policies, standards and specifications and be able to read, understand and interpret technical documents & standards;
- Prepare written documents including daily diary, submissions/reports & test results;
- Communicate with the Contractor and/or Contract Administrators, Senior Engineers or Principals Representatives and keep theminformed of progress and quality of works; and
- Provide effective administration, surveillance and recording of documentation generated during the construction including photos;
Mandatory Experience
- Computer skills in Microsoft Windows operating system, MS Word, MS Excel, file management and email.
- Using a phone or tablet to record photographic evidence of site based work preparation,
undertaken or finalised.
- Demonstrable Computer or tablet based diarising or reporting software skills.
Must have a driver's licence and have access to own transport to/from home to site & mobile phone. Own laptop will be an advantage. Preference will also be given to someone already living in SEQLD &/or willing to relocate there, however we will consider alternatives. The proposed hours are nominally 40 per week & mainly night shift roster, (which will be cycled from time to time to provide relief), although no guarantee there won't be more or less hours due to project demands. The sites can be located in Brisbane Suburbs &/or regional locations. Some Saturday, Sunday & shift work may be required to conduct the works, but these will be discussed in discussions per assignment.
