Creative Producer & Strategist (Short Form Videos)
And this is not a "just make it look good" role.
We're looking for someone who can combine creative judgement, commercial thinking and exceptional people skills to own the development and production of high-performing founder-led content.
You'll need to know what makes great content work, but just as importantly, you'll need to know how to work with people.
That means reading the room. Building trust quickly. Drawing great ideas out of clients. Knowing when to push, when to listen, and how to make someone feel confident on camera without losing sight of the standard we're trying to achieve.

About Halcyon
Halcyon Agency helps ambitious founders grow through short-form video using Content OS™.
One monthly shoot becomes a month of strategic, performance-driven content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and Meta paid campaigns.
Think Alex Hormozi, Codie Sanchez, Daniel Priestley and other founder-led creators who turn their expertise into clear, compelling content people actually want to watch.
We work primarily with founders in professional services including marketing, property, finance and medical who want to build authority, generate leads and scale their businesses.
We're not interested in creating content for vanity metrics.
We want content that builds trust, communicates expertise and drives commercial outcomes.
The Role
As Creative Producer, you'll take raw founder knowledge, industry insights and rough ideas and turn them into content people actually want to watch.
You'll work directly with clients to draw out their strongest perspectives, shape those ideas into scripts and talking points, lead them through shoots,
oversee the editing process and use performance signals to continually improve what we create.
You'll sit at the intersection of strategy, people and production.
You own:
- What gets made - idea, angle, hook and script.
- How it gets made - founder direction, shoot execution and edit.
- Why it works - audience psychology, distribution and performance signals.
This is a full-time, in office role in Alexandria, NSW
What You'll Own
- Researching markets, audiences, competitors and content opportunities
- Developing ideas grounded in audience demand and psychology
- Turning complex founder knowledge into clear, compelling content
- Writing and shaping scripts, hooks and talking points built for retention
- Preparing founders so they arrive at shoots clear on what we're creating and why
- Leading shoots and directing founders towards confident, natural on-camera delivery
- Building strong relationships with recurring clients and understanding how each person likes to communicate and work
- Knowing when to challenge a client's thinking and doing it in a way that builds trust rather than friction
- Reviewing work from local and offshore editors with a strong editorial eye
- Giving clear, actionable feedback that helps editors improve rather than simply creating more revision rounds
- Owning final quality control across pacing, clarity, tone, accuracy and brand alignment
- Writing captions and framing content appropriately for each platform
- Maintaining publishing cadence and content schedules
- Reviewing performance signals and applying what we learn to future content
- Improving the systems behind research, scripting, production, review and publishing
The People Side of This Role
This matters just as much as your technical ability.
Our clients are founders. They're often highly knowledgeable, busy and opinionated - and many of them are not naturally comfortable sitting in front of a camera.
Outstanding production therefore starts with great communication.
You'll be expected to:
- Build rapport quickly with different personalities
- Listen properly and understand what someone is actually trying to communicate
- Ask intelligent questions that reveal ideas clients may struggle to articulate themselves
- Read someone's confidence, energy and communication style during a shoot
- Give direction without making people feel self-conscious or over-directed
- Challenge weak ideas without ego or unnecessary friction
- Adapt your communication style depending on the client
- Stay calm and solutions-focused when a shoot or production doesn't go to plan
- Give and receive direct feedback without becoming defensive
- Make clients feel understood, well looked after and confident in the process
If you're technically strong but struggle to build trust, communicate clearly or manage different personalities, this probably isn't the right role.
Who This Is For
You’ll likely thrive here if:
- You have high emotional intelligence. You notice how people are responding and adjust accordingly.
- You're naturally curious about people. You enjoy understanding how someone thinks, what they know and what makes their perspective interesting.
- You can make people comfortable quickly. Founders trust you enough to loosen up, speak naturally and take direction.
- You can challenge people without creating friction. You're confident enough to disagree, but socially aware enough to know how to do it well.
- You communicate clearly. Clients, editors and teammates know exactly what you mean and what needs to happen next.
- You have low ego. The goal is the best outcome, not proving that your idea was right.
- You can explain why a piece of content should work before it’s published.
- You care about knowledge and accurately representing someone’s expertise.
- You enjoy turning messy thinking into sharp execution.
- You're comfortable making creative decisions and holding a quality bar.
- You care about performance, not just aesthetics.
- You want genuine ownership rather than constant instruction.
Who This Is Not For
This probably isn’t the right environment for:
- Creators primarily looking to pursue cinematic work or their own personal creative style
- People who see production as purely technical rather than deeply people-focused
- People who avoid difficult conversations or struggle to give clear direction
- People who need rigid structure before they can move We'll update below: We'll provide proper final list. Let's rewrite fully in final string. We'll rewrite from
