About the role

Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the Executive Leadership Team, the CFO is a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO, ELT, Risk & Audit Committee and Board. This is a broad, hands-on mandate spanning financial strategy, governance and risk, finance operations and a genuine commercial growth agenda, this isn't a role limited to reporting and compliance.

Key areas of accountability

- Partner with the CEO and ELT on business growth strategy and long-term financial forecasting (3+ years), acting as a trusted advisor to the Board and Risk & Audit Committee
- Lead the Finance & Assurance team, owning the annual budgeting process, monthly forecasting,



investment framework and internal controls
- Ensure audit and funding acquittal readiness, and maintain compliance across taxation, corporations law, fundraising and relevant legislation
- Lead financial strategy and commercial modelling to grow fee-for-service, partnerships and diversified income, building enterprise-wide commercial acumen and reporting frameworks to support it
- Governance and financial advice to the CEO, ELT and Board

What you'll bring

- CA/CPA qualified, with senior finance leadership experience and strong commercial acumen
- Track record in income diversification, pricing strategy and new revenue assessment
- Experience translating financial insight into practical tools for non-finance leaders
- Not-for-profit, charitable or consulting sector experience highly regarded; an interest in environmental management is a bonus
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at Executive and Board level
