Senior Business Services Accountant

Responsibilities





- Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts, and self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs).

- Assist clients with their ongoing compliance obligations, including BAS, IAS, FBT, payroll tax, and other statutory reporting requirements.

- Utilise a range of accounting software, including Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and Class, to deliver accurate and efficient accounting services.

- Assist with tax planning and business advisory engagements by analysing financial and non-financial information to help clients improve business performance.

- Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering exceptional service and identifying opportunities to add value.

- Contribute to the development of the team through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and supporting junior team members.

Qualifications

- Strong personal integrity and professional values that align with our firm culture and client relationships.

- Demonstrated experience in Business Services within an Australian public practice accounting firm.

- Minimum of 7 years' Australian Business Services and taxation experience.

- Australian Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or equivalent).

- CA or CPA qualified, or nearing completion of your CA/CPA program.

- Sound knowledge of Australian accounting standards, taxation legislation, and compliance requirements.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong client service focus.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

- Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Class,



and other cloud-based accounting applications.
