Therapy Road is a small allied health provider servicing Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Maitland for both occupational therapy and speech pathology.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our team!

About the role

We are a small connected team of 7 Speech Pathologists and 2 Occupational Therapists (check out of website to see our team!).

We have a BIG focus on team connection, actual work-life balance, coffee dates, social catch ups and providing really great support to our participants. Genuinely ... we enjoy coming to work every day.

We have a clinic conveniently located in Kotara to support our participants and stay connected as a team. A large portion of our work is done in the community think schools, child care, and homes. In this role, your caseload would consist of children aged 2-18 years with a range of delays, disabilities and disorders.

Key responsibilities





- Conducting comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate participants' functional abilities, limitations and rehabilitation potential
- Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans tailored to each client's goals and needs
- Providing direct occupational therapy interventions to support participants in activities of daily living, work-related tasks and social participation
- Monitoring participants progress and adjusting treatment plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with skilled standards and regulatory requirements
- Educating participants and their families on strategies
- Liaising with external agencies and stakeholders to coordinate care and support service transitions

The non negotiable

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia
- Current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (OTBA) or eligible to apply
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team workplace
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- A valid drivers license
- Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one if required for the role
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC)
- Professional indemnity insurance or willingness to obtain cover through the organisation
