About the role
The Technical Operations Manager is responsible for leading the delivery and continuous improvement of technology services across the organisation.
The role is accountable for service performance, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, people leadership and the establishment of a high-performance culture within the Operations function. The position ensures technology services are responsive and aligned with business priorities while driving accountability, ownership and continuous improvement across operational teams.
The Technical Operations Manager acts as the primary operational liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring service outcomes are achieved through effective leadership, communication, governance and operational discipline.
What you'll need to succeed in the role
- Minimum 5 years' experience in technology operations, service delivery,
infrastructure, support management or related leadership roles.
- ITIL certification or demonstrated knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles.
- Experience working within regulated industries or environments with robust governance and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical or operational teams.
- Experience managing incidents, problems, operational risks and service performance.
- Proven ability to establish accountability, performance expectations and continuous improvement cultures.
- Experience working with service management methodologies such as ITIL.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation and relationship management capabilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, senior leaders and external customers.
- Ability to use AI tools responsibly and effectively to improve productivity, in accordance with company's AI, Information Security and Privacy policies
