Digital Technologies Teacher

Location: Ivanhoe Area, Melbourne (Inner North-East)

Employment Type: Full-Time | Fixed-Term (Remainder of 2026) with robust potential for ongoing employment

About the Role





An exciting opportunity exists for a Digital Technologies Teacher to join a collaborative secondary teaching team for the remainder of the 2026 school year.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated Digital Technologies programs aligned with the Victorian Curriculum, while fostering a positive and structured classroom environment where students feel supported to achieve their personal best.

The school is seeking an educator who can teach Digital Technologies, and who brings initiative, strong curriculum knowledge, and confidence in contemporary technologies and pedagogy. There may be opportunity to contribute to broader Technologies offerings depending on experience and interest.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Digital Technologies learning programs aligned with the Victorian Curriculum




- Differentiate instruction to support diverse academic needs and learning profiles
- Teach core Digital Technologies strands such as computational thinking, data, digital systems, and programming
- Create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Assess student progress and use data to inform teaching practice
- Build strong professional relationships with students, families and colleagues
- Work collaboratively within a faculty team to enhance student outcomes
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school community

You will have:

- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
- Relevant teaching qualifications
- Demonstrated experience teaching Digital Technologies at secondary level (or strong graduate capability and placement experience)
- Confidence teaching programming/coding (e.g., Python, Scratch, web-based development, robotics or similar)
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
- A commitment to evidence-based teaching and continuous professional learning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Full Australian working rights (applicants requiring employer sponsorship are unable to be considered)
