Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 per year + super + salary packaging

Part-Time (3 days per week or 5 shorter days)

8.5-month fixed-term contract (Maternity leave cover)

Full-time equivalent (FTE) salary of $95,000 - $105,000 per annum, pro-rated to 0.6 FTE + Super + Salary Packaging

Who We Are

Adopt Change is a not-for-profit organisation with a vision for a world where all children can grow, learn, play and thrive in safe, nurturing, and stable homes, schools and communities. Our mission is to support and educate families and communities in caring for vulnerable and displaced children.

Through our Carers for Kids NSWprogram (formerly My Forever Family NSW), we provide statewide support for foster carers, kinship and relative carers, guardians and adoptive parents. Carers for Kids NSW is dedicated to ensuring carers feel equipped, valued and connected in their vital role of providing safe and stable homes for children in out-of-home care (OOHC). We do this by:

- Trainingcarers with evidence-based education and workshops to build skills and confidence.
- Providing resourcesthat are practical, accessible and tailored to carers’ needs.
- Advocatingon behalf of carers to influence systems and policies that impact children and families.
- Offering direct supportthrough advice, peer connections and ongoing assistance to help carers navigate the challenges of caring for children from OOHC.

The Role

We're looking for an organised and proactive Training Officer to coordinate the delivery of training, events and educational resources that support foster carers, kinship carers, guardians and adoptive parents across Recent South Wales.

This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys bringing people, information and projects together to create meaningful outcomes. You'll coordinate statewide online and face-to-face training, webinars and events, working with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure delivery is on time, within budget and to a high standard.

Reporting to the Head of Carer Services, you'll work closely with the Communications team and our Business Analyst, as well as external presenters, NGO agency staff, sector partners, venues and service providers. You'll also support the delivery of key program events, including carer training sessions, caseworker training, the Carer Recognition Awards and Foster & Kinship Care Week picnics across metropolitan and regional NSW.

This role is ideal for someone with strong administration, event coordination and project management skills, who is passionate about supporting children, carers and families and wants to make a meaningful contribution to the out-of-home care sector.

What you'll be doing

You'll coordinate training, events and resources that support foster carers, kinship carers, guardians and adoptive parents across NSW, including:





- coordinating online and face-to-face training sessions, webinars and educational events
- managing training calendars, event schedules and registrations
- coordinating travel, presenters, suppliers and training materials
- coordinating venue bookings, catering and, where required, childcare, and pursuing cost-reduction opportunities such as letters of consideration and Club Grants applications
- publishing and maintaining the training calendar online and in PDF format
- assisting with the development and delivery of the annual training plan and training calendar, in consultation with DCJ
- maintaining and enhancing the Carer Portal and Carer Library, ensuring resources remain current, relevant and accessible
- working with internal teams to publish and promote training opportunities and events
- coordinating training logistics for carers, guardians, adoptive parents and DCJ caseworkers
- managing training expenditure in line with budget, procedures and delegations, and obtaining required approvals
- managing event administration, reporting, attendance records and CRM data
- responding to carer enquiries and providing exceptional participant support
- assisting with the delivery of key program events, including the Carer Recognition Awards, Foster & Kinship Care Week Picnics and other carer engagement activities
- preparing training materials, certificates, evaluations and post-event reporting
- building and maintaining relationships with presenters, venues, sector partners and service providers
- travelling across metropolitan and regional NSW and interstate where required, to support the delivery of training programs, stakeholder engagement activities, conferences and key carer events
- identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and participant experiences across training and event delivery

About you

You're an organised and proactive training, events or administration professional who enjoys coordinating projects and creating positive experiences for participants.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple priorities and have a strong eye for detail. You're confident working with a range of stakeholders and enjoy bringing people, information and logistics together to achieve successful outcomes.

You'll bring:

- experience coordinating training programs, events or project activities from planning through to delivery
- strong organisational, administrative and time management skills
- experience coordinating venues,



catering, childcare, suppliers, presenters, travel and event logistics
- confidence managing multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously
- experience using CRM and event management systems (we use Salesforce) to record, extract and analyse data
- strong written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail
- the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- a proactive, solutions-focused approach and willingness to work collaboratively across teams
- a strong understanding of digital and online event platforms, and confidence using technology and Microsoft Office applications
- experience maintaining accurate records, reporting and administration processes
- an understanding of, or experience with, foster care, adoption, out-of-home care and the impact of childhood trauma
- flexibility to work occasional evening training sessions (typically once per month between 6.00 pm and 8.00 pm) and adjust working days where required to support program delivery
- a current unrestricted Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel across NSW, and interstate on occasion, as required
