PLEASE NOTE: This is a legacy enterprise software engineering role working with Broadcom/CA Gen and COBOL. This is NOT a Generative AI / GenAI role.

FinXL is seeking a highly experienced Gen Developer to join a major program of work for a large Federal Government department. You will be contributing to a major enterprise workplace that supports critical, large-scale government service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

- Creating software and technical designs for the realisation of complex development solutions.
- Developing high-quality code and managing the long-term maintenance of the product's codebase.
- Providing go-live support, technical advice, and maintenance for complex developments.




- Performing analysis, design, prototyping, unit testing, and maintenance activities.
- Identifying, investigating, and resolving complex ICT issues.
- Working under the limited direction of senior staff to deliver results, assess risks, and potentially manage a team.

Technical Skill & qualification:

- Experience with Cuba or similar massive-scale government systems.
- Hands-on experience writing and debugging COBOL.
- Experience with the development of SOAP services, RESTful APIs, and MQ.
- Experience in Win32 application development.
- An IT degree and/or formal GEN training.
