Quality Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Quality Analyst to design and execute test collateral across integration, API, backend, and GUI levels. This role is focused on manual testing — applying robust test process knowledge and technique rather than automation scripting — to ensure changes are verified thoroughly and risk is managed effectively across complex, multi-system environments.

The successfulcandidate will bring hands-on experience with API testing, integration testing, and modern platform tooling, along with a solid understanding of working withingovernment organisations and their associated processes and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test collateral to verify changes at the integration, API, backend, and GUI levels.
- Apply appropriate test techniques and processes to ensure comprehensive coverage and risk-based test prioritisation.
- Conduct API testing using Postman, including request/response validation, data verification, and error handling.
- Manage test cases, execution, and defects using Tricentis qTest.




- Support integration testing across multiple interconnected systems and platforms.
- Contribute to contract testing activities where applicable, ensuring service interfaces meet agreed specifications.
- Collaborate with development, business analysis, and delivery teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective test coverage.
- Identify, log, and track defects through to resolution, ensuring clear and accurate documentation.
- Provide status reporting and quality metrics to project and delivery stakeholders.
- Work within government processes, standards, and governance frameworks to ensure compliance and audit readiness.

Essential Skills & Experience

- 3+ years' experience in integration testing.
- Working knowledge of Tricentis qTest.
- Working knowledge of Postman for API testing.
- Strong understanding of API testing techniques and approaches.
- Experience working withingovernment organisations.
- Experience with AWS,including Lambda.
- Demonstrated ability to design test collateral covering integration, API, backend, and GUI levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Skills & Experience

- Experience with Tricentis Tosca.
- Knowledge of contract testing techniques.
- Experience with Kafka or other streaming platforms.
- Familiarity with Kong (APIgateway) and Akamai.

Additional Requirements

- Available to commence within 4 weeks.
- Able to provide credible, verifiable references.
