About the role
We are seeking an energetic Building Manager to join AssetBM. This full time role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a residential apartment complex in the Bayside City Council area. If you have experience in Hotels, Property Management or Facility Management, you may have the skills we are looking for in this role. You’ll play a lead role in maintaining the building to a high standard, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and improving the overall resident experience.
We’re looking for someone with
Experience in a leadership and stakeholder management role within Hotels, Property Management, or Facilities Management.
Strong leadership qualities with direct experience in Customer Service roles
Professional written and verbal communication skills, with emotional intelligence and empathy to engage with residents, committee members and other stakeholders.
Well-honed organisational skills to be a productive team player who takes ownership.
Tech-savvy and comfortable implementing new digital tools to improve workflows and reporting.
Experience with budgeting, cost control, and structured report writing.
What you’ll be doing
Responsible for the delivery of resident experience, including all aspects of building operations,
including maintenance, repairs, contractor performance, and security.
Ownership of resident and stakeholder inquiries and issues promptly, including driving cost-effective solutions, proactive asset Management, process streamlining, seeking approvals, coordinating and supervising contractors, service providers, and on‑site personnel to ensure timely, high-quality outcomes.
Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and building regulation requirements (Training provided).
Proactively influencing the culture in the building to improve compliance, resident experience, and reduce disruptions, improve presentation and add value to the OC budget.
Implementing and managing preventative maintenance programmes to enhance asset condition and resident satisfaction (Training and support provided).
Preparing detailed written reports, updates, and business cases relating to building performance and issues.
