About the Role:
We are recruiting a Yard Operator to work at our Hallam site. This position plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the yard and servicing our customers.
This is a full time ongoing position, with an immediate start available. This position is rostered for our day shift which is Monday - Friday, with some Saturday work available.
Duties will likely include (but not be limited to):
- Safely Operate Plant Machinery and carry out operations as directed
- Participate in daily Toolbox/Pre-start meetings
- Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance of equipment
- General site cleaning, maintaining tidy spaces and cleaning vehicles and plant equipment
- Ensuring all safety procedures and protocols are followed
To be successful you will need:
- Front End Loader Ticket
- Excavator licence – Preferred but not essential
- Watercart – Preferred but not essential
- Demonstrated experience in a similar position
- Demonstrated ability to use mobile devices (tablets/smartphones)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with different stakeholders via UHF, phone, and in-person
- Australian Driver's License
- Right to work in Australia
- Police check and pre-employment medical including alcohol and drug screening (to be completed during the recruitment process).
