North Victorian Bait Co is seeking hardworking individuals to join our worm farming operation in Nathalia, Victoria. This is a casual position for the upcoming peak season. You will be working in a hands-on capacity, performing essential tasks that keep our worm farming business operating smoothly.
What you’ll be doing
- Working indoors picking and harvesting worms from farm beds with care and efficiency
- Counting & packing worms into containers and packaging materials to prepare them for dispatch and sale.
- Feeding & grading worms by size and breed to meet specifications.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the worm farm beds and work areas
- Assisting with general farm maintenance and upkeep tasks as required
What we’re looking for
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour tasks throughout your shift.
- Attention to detail when handling and grading worms to maintain product quality.
- Reliability and punctuality, as consistent attendance is important to our operations.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely according to farm protocols.
- Basic level of fitness, speed and dexterity to perform repetitive handling tasks efficiently.
- Previous farm labour or horticultural experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Drivers license.
