Scaffwise Pty Ltd is seeking an Advanced Scaffolder to join our team on a casual basis with a look to go full-time. This is a key position within our operations, requiring an experienced professional who can erect, and dismantle complex scaffolding systems (predominantly aluminium) on a variety of construction and maintenance projects. Working from our Caboolture, QLD base, as well as on various projects throughout South-East QLD you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, stability, and efficiency of scaffolding structures across multiple sites. This role is pivotal in supporting our clients' project timelines whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship.
What you'll be doing
Erecting, altering, and dismantling scaffolding structures safely and efficiently according to industry standards and client specifications
Conducting thorough inspections of scaffolding systems to identify defects, wear, or safety hazards
Installing safety features including guardrails, toe boards, and fall arrest systems
Reading and interpreting scaffolding plans and architectural drawings
Operating power tools and equipment such as nail guns, drills, and other specialised machinery
Ensuring compliance with all relevant workplace health and safety regulations and site-specific requirements
Communicating with site managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project coordination
Maintaining accurate records of work completed and reporting any incidents or safety concerns
Training and mentoring junior scaffolders where appropriate
What we're looking for
Current Advanced Scaffolder qualifications and certifications recognised in Queensland
Minimum 5 years' experience in scaffolding work, including complex and high-risk projects
Demonstrated expertise in designing and planning scaffolding systems for various construction types
Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards, particularly AS/NZS 4576:2018
Current First Aid Certificate and CPR qualification
Must be willing to be immunised with the Twinrix vaccine to comply with government wastewater projects
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to various project sites
Excellent knowledge of health and safety procedures and a proven commitment to safe work practices
Solid communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a crew
Physical fitness and ability to work at heights, in various weather conditions, and in demanding environments
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail in technical planning and execution
Previous experience working on commercial construction, industrial projects, or complex structural work is highly desirable
