We’re building a new design-led bathing brand questioning some very old assumptions about what we wash ourselves with.
We're looking for a creative designer to come on board and help us build it, starting at around 20 hours a week, with room to grow as the role does.
The role starts with two very real projects:our website and our packaging. But this isn’t a short-term freelance design job. As the company grows, so will the role.
You might find yourself designing a piece of packaging one week, working on a photoshoot the next, creating something physical, researching an obscure idea, sitting in on a manufacturing discussion or helping us figure out a problem we haven't encountered before.
What You’ll Be Doing
Initially, you’ll work closely with the founder to:
- Help design and develop the brand's website.
- Develop printed materials and packaging artwork in collaboration with our packaging manufacturer.
- Build on and evolve the visual language of the brand.
- Work across typography, imagery, layout and physical objects.
- Prepare artwork for print and production.
Over time, the role could extend into:
- Photography and film shoots.
- Exhibitions, installations and physical activations.
- Editorial and educational content.
- Contribute ideas, not just execute them.
- Social and digital projects.
- Whatever else building a new brand happens to require.
Who You Are
This role is less about ticking boxes and more abouthow you think.
You might be right for it if you:
- Understand restraint and don't feel the need to fill every empty space.
- Like questioning the obvious answer.
- Care deeply about details other people might not notice.
- Can take an idea and push it further rather than simply executing what's been asked.
- Are comfortable working without a brief telling you exactly what to do.
- Are resourceful and willing to figure things out.
Your Background
Ideally you have:
- Solid typography and layout skills.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma or similar design tools.
- Understanding of designing for web.
- An interest in packaging and physical design.
- Enough technical knowledge to turn ideas into finished work, or the determination to learn how.
Experience in branding, art direction, photography, film, 3D, motion, illustration, web development or production would all be practical, but none are mandatory.
You’ll work directly with the founder and have genuine input into what the brand becomes.
