We are seeking a Retail Sales Assistant to join our MMA Fight Store in Macgregor, QLD. This is a casual position working between Monday and Friday to support our dynamic retail team. As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will be the face of our brand, delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales in a fast-paced retail setting. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and ensuring they find the right products to meet their mixed martial arts and fitness needs.

Key responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance with product selection across our range of MMA equipment, apparel and accessories
- Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handle cash and card payments with integrity
- Maintain store displays, shelving and merchandise presentation to ensure an attractive and organised shopping environment
- Stock shelves and rotate inventory, ensuring products are readily available and properly priced
- Answer customer enquiries about product features, pricing, availability and promotions
- Provide recommendations based on customer requirements and fitness experience
- Pick and pack online orders
- Assist with promotional activities and window displays to attract customers
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the store
- Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team atmosphere
- Report any product issues, damages or discrepancies to management

What we're looking for





- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not essential
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for helping customers
- Enthusiasm for mixed martial arts, fitness or combat sports is highly desirable
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and willingness to work various shifts, including weekends
- Basic numeracy skills and comfort with electronic point-of-sale systems
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work
- Physical capability to lift, carry and move stock and merchandise
- A positive attitude and commitment to delivering excellent customer service
