About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Application Engineer to join our Products & Technology team. You will work in a collaborative, customer-focused environment, providing solution-focused technical support, solving industrial automation applications and delivering engineered solutions for customers.

In this highly customer-facing role, you will work closely with customers and our Sales team to identify applications, troubleshoot technical challenges and present engineered solutions. You will also provide technical training to the Sales team and junior engineers, undertake field and office-based service work and support customer engagement and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide solution-oriented technical support that builds customer confidence.
- Identify and solve applications for company products and services.
- Develop and present engineered solutions to customers.
- Provide technical training to the Sales team and junior engineers.
- Work closely with the Sales team to support customer engagement and business growth.
- Perform field and office-based service work to deliver high-quality service to customers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support productive and productive business operations.
- Maintain accurate records of activities using CRM and ERP systems.
- Apply relevant safety, regulatory and quality standards in technical support and service activities.

About You

- 3+ years’ experience in technical, engineering or field service within the industrial automation and controls market space.
- Experience in PLC programming, with scripting experience highly regarded.




- Experience with industrial networks; relevant certification such as CompTIA Network+ or CCNA is preferred.
- Experience in machine safety; relevant certifications such as CMSE, CESE, CFSAE or FSEng are highly regarded.
- Experience in a customer-facing role with the ability to deliver presentations and/or technical training preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
- Experience with sensors, radio equipment, machine vision and electrical equipment for hazardous areas is highly regarded.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and collaborate across teams.
- Ability to develop and maintain clear, accurate support and project documentation.
- Adaptable with the ability to learn and apply new concepts and skills.
- Strong understanding of relevant safety, regulatory and quality standards.
- Current Driver Licence and willingness to travel locally and occasionally internationally, with the ability to obtain and maintain valid travel documentation.
