We're working with an ambitious AI company to recruit Senior & Principal Forward Deployed Engineers.
This is for engineers who want to be much closer to the problem than a traditional software engineering role allows. You won’t be handed a perfectly defined ticket and asked to disappear into the codebase. You’ll work directly with customers, understand what they’re trying to achieve, figure out what needs to be built and take it all the way into production.
You’ll sit at the intersection of engineering, product and customer, with the autonomy to make decisions, move quickly and see first-hand the impact of what you build.
What you'll be doing
- Work directly with customers to understand complex technical and business problems
- Take projects from initial discovery through to production
- Build production-quality software across the stack
- Turn ambiguous problems into practical, scalable solutions
- Partner with product and engineering to shape what gets built
- Get hands-on with AI, data, APIs and modern software engineering
- Make robust technical decisions and move quickly without needing everything defined upfront
- A Full Stack engineering background
- Experience building and shipping real products
- Experience using AI to enhance engineering workflows
- The ability to work autonomously and make good technical decisions
- A genuine interest in AI and emerging technology
- A bias towards building, testing and learning rather than spending weeks debating the perfect solution
- The curiosity to understand the underlying problem, not just implement the initial request
You don’t need to have worked as a Forward Deployed Engineer before.
