Empire Office Furniture is Queensland's leading office furniture retailer servicing many high-profile corporate organisations, government departments, local and regional business customers. This Australian owned and operated company has a excellent reputation in successfully providing quality workstations, seating and furniture for over 40 years.We operate eight retail stores across Queensland andNSW.

The Role:

As our new Product Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing the company's product and procurement strategy across the office and commercial furniture portfolio. You will ensure the business offers a competitive, commercially viable, and market-relevant product range while managing supplier relationships, inventory performance, and product lifecycle activities.

The role combines strategic product management with operational purchasing responsibilities to maximise profitability, support sales growth, enhance customer satisfaction, and maintain the company's position as a leader within the office and commercial furniture market.

Key Responsibilities

- Product strategy and range management.
- Identify emerging market trends, customer requirements, workplace design innovations, and competitor activity.
- Procurement and buying.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers.




- Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers to improve product quality, availability, and innovation.
- Commercial and financial management.
- Achieve sales, margin, and inventory performance targets.
- Stakeholder collaboration.
- Provide leadership and expertise on product and supplier-related matters.

All about you:

- 5+ years' experience in product management, buying, category management, or procurement.
- Furniture industry knowledge would be a great advantage.
- Demonstrated success managing supplier relationships and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Strong analytical and commercial decision-making skills.
- Proven record of achieving monthly, quarterly and yearly targets.
- Experience managing inventory, forecasting, and product lifecycle activities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
