Darling Downs Hospital & Health Service – Toowoomba QLD
As a Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Psychologist, Physiotherapist or Social Worker (Clinical Intake Officer – Senior, Child Development), you'll play an important role in helping children and families access the support they need to achieve their best outcomes. Working with a skilled multidisciplinary team, you'll use your expertise to guide care pathways, strengthen service access and support families through key stages of their child's development.
Every day, you'll contribute by:
- Providing expert intake support that helps families connect with the right services and resources.
- Applying advanced clinical judgement to identify needs, prioritise referrals and support timely access to care.
- Working closely with health professionals and community partners to deliver coordinated, family-centred outcomes.
- Supporting service improvements that enhance quality, accessibility and the experience of children and families.

Here's what will help you succeed in this role:
- Relevant qualification and current professional registration, certification or membership for your discipline.
- Experience working with children with developmental needs and their families.
- Strong communication, consultation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary, family-centred team environment.
You'll stand out if you have experience in intake, triage, care coordination and/or quality improvement within child development, disability or community health services.
