Manage all aspects of capital works projects, from initial planning through to completion.
Develop and oversee project budgets to ensure financial accountability.
Engage and manage contractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications and timelines.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality standards are met.
Prepare and present progress reports to relevant stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
Coordinate with internal and external teams to streamline project delivery.
Identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.
A successful Capital Works Manager should have:
- Proven experience in managing construction projects, ideally within the not-for-profit sector.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards in Australia.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and deliver projects on time.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in coordinating with contractors and internal teams effectively.
- A relevant qualification in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.
