About the role:

We are looking for a Program Coordinator to work with boys during business hours Monday to Friday, in Dubbo, NSW through our various programs including 1:1 Mentoring, school holiday camps, and school group programs. You must care about improving outcomes for disengaged youth and demonstrate that you can form connections with young people and connect them to the community.

Based in Dubbo, you’ll Mentor participants by planning and delivering programs through hands-on activities as well as building community connections. You’ll be supported by a Location Manager and a passionate team who share your commitment to making a difference.

If you are up for teaching young guys about respectful relationships, being part of the community and doing things like mowing lawns, fishing, barbecuing, or just getting outdoors and moving, then this just might be the change for you. Some of our best Mentors are former tradies, teachers, police officers, and footy coaches.

Your role would include:

- Engage directly with program participants in 1:1 MENtoring, camps, and school groups




- Work with community organisations and help to connect them with youth in most need
- Plan activities for participants that will help them work towards individual goals and all-round personal development
- Work with youth in Dubbo and surrounds, acting as an ambassador for Boys to the Bush

About you:

- A passion for improving outcomes for disadvantaged/disengaged youth
- You have robust interpersonal skills and can manage challenging behaviours
- Able to draw upon current and generate new relationships within the community
- A positive attitude and commitment to promoting the core values and mission of Boys to the Bush at all times

Our Requirements

- Full working rights in Australia
- NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Australian Police Check
- A full driver’s Licence with no restrictions, and a recent Driving History check
- Current First Aid Certificate
- These items will be requested during onboarding and are not required to be provided during the recruitment phase.
