Planning and Policy Officer

Our client is seeking an experienced Planning and Policy Officer to join their team and play a key role in supporting the planning and delivery of major projects across NSW.
This is an exciting opportunity for a planning professional who wants to work on high-profile, high-value projects.
You will be involved in:
- Supporting planning approvals for major projects.
- Providing advice on planning assessments and approval strategies.
- Reviewing Statements, specialist reports and post-approval documentation.
- Building strong relationships with statutory authorities and NSW government referral agencies.
- Engaging with communities and industry to understand stakeholder needs and help resolve issues.
- Developing strategic planning initiatives that minimise environmental impacts and maximise benefits for communities.
- Monitoring project delivery, risks, impacts and outcomes.
- Providing practical, evidence-based advice in a complex and rapidly evolving environment.

We’re looking for a planning or policy professional with:
- Demonstrated experience securing planning approvals for major or high-value infrastructure projects.
- Experience working with statutory consent authorities and government referral agencies.
- Strong project and/or policy management experience.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A current Australian Class C driver's licence.
