Property Maintenance Officer – General Maintenance & Carpentry
Are you a skilled handyperson or carpenter who enjoys variety, practical problem-solving and taking pride in the spaces you work in?
St Luke's Anglican School is seeking a Property Maintenance Officer – General Maintenance & Carpentry to join our Facilities team. This is an opportunity to use your trade skills across a diverse and well-maintained school campus, undertaking carpentry, building maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, minor construction and improvement works.
No two days are quite the same. From repairing and constructing furniture, doors, fencing and fixtures, to completing building repairs, installations and campus improvements, you will play an important role in keeping our facilities safe, functional and looking their best.
You will work closely with the Director of Facilities and Asset Management and the broader Facilities team, contributing to a proactive approach to maintenance, safety and the ongoing improvement of the School's facilities.

The Opportunity
Immediate Commencement, full-time, permanent role.
As our Property Maintenance Officer, you will undertake a diverse range of carpentry, building and general property maintenance across the School campus, including:
- Carpentry, construction,
repairs and installations across buildings, furniture, fixtures, fencing and other infrastructure
- Preventative and reactive maintenance, minor renovations and improvement projects
- General building works including painting, plaster repairs, pressure cleaning and other maintenance tasks
- Maintenance and presentation of outdoor structures, facilities and campus infrastructure
- Moving, installing and maintaining furniture, equipment and materials
- Supporting contractors, School events and other operational activities as required
- Identifying hazards and maintenance issues and contributing to a safe, well-presented campus
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, practical problem-solving and taking pride in the quality and presentation of their work.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified carpenter (preferred) with experience in general property and building maintenance, who takes pride in quality workmanship and practical problem-solving.
To be successful, you will have:
- Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent recognised trade qualification (desirable)
- Demonstrated carpentry and general property maintenance experience
- Robust practical skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining a high standard of presentation
- A commitment to safe work practices and compliance with School procedures
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A current Queensland Blue Card, or eligibility to obtain one
- A manual driver's licence, Working at Heights certification and experience with grounds or small-engine equipment would be advantageous.
