ONE REC are working with a growing Australian-owned Microsoft partner delivering business application solutions to local government and enterprise clients across Australia.

Due to continued demand, our client is looking to add a Local Government Technical Specialist to their team, working hybrid with occasional travel to client sites, based in either Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

You will join a high-performing team that pairs deep local government domain knowledge with practical, hands-on technical delivery. This is a role for someone equally comfortable in a TechnologyOne configuration screen and in a workshop, translating a council's needs into a working solution.

Your work will centre on configuring and administering TechnologyOne (P&R;, ECR, ECM and related modules) within local government environments, extending into the Azure integration and data work that connects it to the wider tech stack. You will build and support integrations through Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus and API Management, work with APIs and web services, handle data migration and ETL, and surface insights through Power BI and TechnologyOne analytics. You will also work directly with council stakeholders, gathering requirements, documenting solutions, and leading the conversations that keep delivery on track.

Your Skills:

- Hands-on experience configuring and administering TechnologyOne (P&R;, ECR, ECM) in a local government context (CiA highly regarded)




- Azure integration experience (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, API Management), or equivalent stack (Boomi, AWS)
- APIs and web services (REST, SOAP, JSON/XML) for system integration
- Data migration, ETL and strong SQL for querying, reporting and troubleshooting
- Reporting and BI experience (Power BI, TechnologyOne ETL/analytics, data models)
- Familiarity with common local government processes (planning and compliance, CRM, ECM, records)
- Microsoft Certification highly regarded

- Strong written communicator, comfortable producing solution designs, configuration guides, test plans and as-built documentation (leveraging AI, not relying on it)
- Confident presenting to and leading conversations with council stakeholders and colleagues

- Client-focused with a team-oriented, team-first mindset
