The Company is seeking a Chief Legal Counsel to join its Executive Services Division. The successful candidate will be the principal legal authority, responsible for establishing and leading enterprise-wide legal strategy, and ensuring the legal, regulatory, and reputational integrity of the organization. This role involves managing significant litigation and contractual matters, representing the organization in dealings with regulators and external stakeholders, and shaping policy positions by integrating legal, regulatory, and public interest considerations.
The Chief Legal Counsel will also be tasked with leading a high-performing team, balancing risk, and overseeing major capital works programs. Applicants for the Chief Legal Counsel position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' legal experience in governance, public law, regulatory, commercial,
or infrastructure matters. Proven experience as a
General Counsel or Head of Legal in a similar government workplace is essential. The role requires the ability to influence at the Board and executive level, navigate complex stakeholder environments, and deliver commercially pragmatic legal advice. Experience in government, statutory authorities, or other highly regulated environments is highly regarded.
