Heavy Vehicle Workshop Trade Hand / Qualified Mechanic/Apprentice

This is a varied position combining workshop repairs and maintenance with occasional field/offside work supporting our operators.

Your duties will include:

- Servicing and preventative maintenance of heavy vehicles and equipment
- Mechanical repairs and general workshop duties
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- Assisting with breakdowns and repairs as required
- Identifying faults and reporting upcoming maintenance requirements
- Assisting with general vehicle and equipment maintenance
- Keeping the workshop and work areas organised and safe
- Occasional offside/site work assisting our operators
- Driving heavy vehicles when required

What We're Looking For

- Heavy vehicle mechanical experience or be currently undertaking a relevant apprenticeship
- Good mechanical knowledge and fault-finding ability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A practical, hands-on attitude
- Good attention to detail
- Strong focus on safety and looking after equipment




- Reliability and a valuable work ethic
- Current HR driver's licence
- Ability and willingness to assist operators with site/offside work when required
- Experience with heavy trucks, diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical fault finding or specialised plant/equipment would be highly regarded.
