My client is a retailer located in Brisbane. They have experienced growth and are now looking for a category management professional like a senior category manager or merchandise manager with some leadership capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a small team
- Negotiating with suppliers and other stakeholders
- Identify opportunities across the Business for additional profit and sales contribution.
- Maximise long term supply agreements for lowest cost of doing business
- Maximise range that provides a competitive edge within the market.
- Manage and implement Promotional strategies with Suppliers that communicates the perks of the retailer
- Manage and optimise profitability through inventory management, supplier negotiations, product development and sourcing strategies.
Skills & Experience:
- Knowledge of the retail market to identify opportunities for product development via Category Management principles
- Development of Planogram principals to deliver improved product offer.
- Proven track record of category growth.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build solid working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Advanced analytical skills on Excel with the ability to use your findings to implement beneficial solutions.
