Job Description

My Australia Direct Talentweb Consulting Pty Ltd are seeking a full time Compliance Officer to work in their Whitelight AML division. Position Purpose The Compliance Officer - QA reviews and investigates AML/CTF cases, assesses customer and compliance information, identifies potential financial crime risks and makes recommendations regarding appropriate compliance outcomes and suspicious matter reporting. Key Responsibilities

- Review and assess AML/CTF cases referred for quality assurance and determine the appropriate outcome based on the information available
- Provide recommendations to management regarding identified compliance risks, case outcomes and recurring issues arising from quality assurance reviews.
- Analyse customer, case and screening information to identify potential financial crime, compliance and risk indicators.

- Conduct further investigations where required by gathering and evaluating additional information.

- Assess whether there are reasonable grounds for suspicion and recommend whether a matter should be dismissed or referred for suspicious matter reporting.

- Prepare investigation findings, recommendations and supporting documentation, including SMR documentation where required.





- Assess customers presenting potential PEP, sanctions, adverse media or other financial crime concerns and recommend appropriate risk outcomes.

- Maintain accurate and comprehensive case records, including investigation outcomes, recommendations and supporting information.

- Maintain and manage compliance case information and the SMR database, ensuring information is accurate, complete and appropriately retained
- Escalate high-priority cases, significant compliance concerns and SLA breaches to the FCC AML Operations Manager.

- Identify information gaps, recurring issues and potential process improvements arising from case reviews and provide feedback to management and team members.

- Apply relevant AML/CTF requirements, client procedures and internal compliance processes when assessing and documenting cases.

- Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive customer and compliance information.

Experience and qualifications Degree qualified with at least 1 year highly relevant experience or else at least 5 years experience if not degree qualified Work Type: Full time Salary: $80000-100000 Job Publish: 10-08-2026 Job Expire: 09-09-2026
