Join Uber's Ridesharing Marketplace Team as a Marketplace Analyst!

Uber is on the lookout for a tech savvy individual and problem-solving enthusiast to become a part of our ridesharing Marketplace team. As a contractor in the Marketplace team, you will support key projects across your assigned workstreams. This means working closely with our local teams to build strategies and implement new global initiatives for the ANZ region. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment at a leading tech company! Please note that this position doesn't automatically transition into a full time role.

Role: Marketplace Analyst

Location: Sydney

Hours: Mon-Fri, 9am - 5pm

What You’ll Do

- - Use SQL to extract, analyse, and interpret key business metrics.
- - Own and manage moderate to high-complexity processes with a high degree of independence.
- - Analyse data to generate actionable insights and recommendations that drive business growth.
- - Support day-to-day operational activities, ensuring seamless execution.
- - Continuously identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
- - Partner with cross-functional teams (CRM, Legal, Comms, and more)



to prepare materials and support geo-expansion initiatives for Uber.

What You’ll Need

- - 1-2 years of professional experience in a data-driven, analytical, or operational role.
- - Proficiency with Google Sheets/Excel.
- - Exposure to SQL or Python strongly preferred
- - Strong attention to detail, with the ability to spot patterns and inconsistencies quickly.
- - A problem-solving mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.
- - Ability to question and challenge existing processes, and propose well-researched solutions.
- - A hands-on, proactive work style with solid execution skills.
