A highly regarded regional Accounting and Business Advisory firm is seeking an experienced SMSF professional to join its leadership team in a senior capacity. About the Role
Working closely with senior leadership, you will take ownership of a portfolio of Self-Managed Super Funds while providing technical expertise, leadership, and commercial insight across the practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and reviewing SMSF financial statements, tax returns, and audit-ready files
- Leading, mentoring, and developing junior team members
- Maintaining compliance with SMSF legislation and regulatory requirements
- Managing workflow, resource allocation, and team performance
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting business development and identifying growth opportunities
- Assisting with client meetings,
strategic advice, and partner-level initiatives
- Driving process improvements and operational efficiencies
About You
To be successful, you will ideally possess:
- 10+ years' experience within public practice accounting and/or SMSF advisory
- CA or CPA qualification
- Strong technical knowledge of SMSF legislation and compliance requirements
- Extensive experience managing SMSF portfolios
- High proficiency with BGL and related practice management systems
- Proven leadership and team development experience
- Strong commercial acumen and client relationship skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with aspirations towards leadership
