Key Responsibilities

This is a great prospect for someone looking to step up from a Venue or Operations Manager. Working across the hotels F&B; offering including restaurant, bar and events operations, driving the guest experience and leading from the front.

- Hands-on and visible on the floor, leading the team by example and being willing to get involved in the day-to-day operation.
- Drive revenue growth across the hotels F&B; offering by focusing on spend per head and profitability.
- Manage inventory, stock control, and expenditure through robust control systems.
- Have a strong focus on team leadership, coaching and on-the-job training, with the ability to build capability and accountability within the team.
- Be highly organised and well planned, with strong attention to detail around rostering, service preparation, stock, events, and operational standards.
- Have a basic understanding of F&B; financials, including food and beverage costs,



labour, budgets, and profitability, with the ability to understand and act on key numbers.
- Be commercially minded while still being guest-focused and operationally driven.
- Ideally have experience managing a multi-faceted F&B; operation, rather than being purely restaurant, bar or events focused.
- Generating feasibility models for adhoc events or promotions analysing the potential profit and loss. E.g. Mothers’ Day, Melbourne Cup, Christmas Day luncheons.

What You’ll Bring

- 2-3 years of previous experience in a similar senior role working in hotels or restaurants.
- Strategic in creating new ideas to drive revenue and guest engagement.
- Build strong relationships with guests and key stakeholders.
- Great communication, team leadership and fostering a learning environment.
- Good financial acumen (e.g. P&L; analysis, forecasting).
- A passion for hospitality, people focused and innovative thinking.

We are looking for someone who is a practical operator and strong people leader — someone who will be on the floor with the team, set clear expectations, coach and develop staff, and bring structure and organisation to the department.
