Join us in building better connections for Victoria by:
Developingand leadingcommunity and stakeholder engagement programs to seek feedback onVIDA Roads’projects in theplanning phase, to help inform the development of the project(s) and decision-making.
Draftinga diverse range of communication materials to highlight projects in planning andsupportingcommunity and stakeholder engagement programs including letters, web content, emails to key stakeholders and advertising materials.
Developingandmaintainingrelationships with government agencies, stakeholder groups, localcouncilsand the community.
Preparingand overseeingresponses to project related correspondence.
Providingstakeholder management services to project teams, including issues management, stakeholder relations, advertising, events, webcontentand publications.
This roleassiststhe communicationsandengagement activitiesacross a portfolio of projects within VIDA Roads by providing support and strategic advice on communication and engagement activities. This role liaises with multiple internal and external stakeholders in an issues-rich and complex environment and works within project teams and other teams/disciplinesacross the organisation.
Availability to attend construction sites and community engagement events, which may fall outside of standard business hours.
A relevant qualification in communications, public relations, media or public policy discipline, or extensive relevant experience is highly desirable.
Experience leading community engagement programs via Engage Victoria is highly desirable.
Proven ability to provide strategic stakeholder recommendations and advice to senior management, coupled with the ability to successfully manage multiple sensitive stakeholder interfaces simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to plan,deliverand review stakeholder relations and community engagement strategies in a politically sensitive and deadline driven environment. Experience in the context of a major transport infrastructure project is desirable, however, not mandatory.
