EXPERIENCED PHYSIOTHERAPIST - SPORTS & MUSCULOSKELETAL

Ringwood Sports Medicine is seeking an experienced physiotherapist to join our highly collaborative multidisciplinary team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a physiotherapist passionate about sports injuries, musculoskeletal care and exercise based rehabilitation to work in a genuine sports medicine environment.

Our clinicians work collaboratively across diagnosis, injury management, rehabilitation, objective testing and return to sport.

Our facilities include a dedicated rehabilitation gym and advanced VALD Performance technology, including ForceDecks force plates and strength and range dynamometry. These systems support objective assessment of strength, power, asymmetry, rehabilitation progress and return-to-sport readiness. We also have an antigravity training treadmill.

Ringwood Sports Medicine also owns and operates the Melbourne Sports Concussion Clinic. This provides opportunities to develop skills in concussion assessment and rehabilitation alongside clinicians trained in the ImPACT and Complete Concussions Management Inc. systems. We use advanced neurocognitive, vestibular, oculomotor, balance and cardiovascular testing as part of our diagnostic and rehabilitation algorithm.

THE ROLE





Approximately 75% of our physiotherapy caseload consists of sports and musculoskeletal patients, with a significant proportion involving adolescent athletes and structured rehabilitation.

The successful applicant must have experience with this demographic or demonstrate the clinical ability to develop these skills quickly.

The role includes:

- Assessment and management of acute and chronic sports injuries
- Musculoskeletal and spinal physiotherapy
- Adolescent sports injury management
- Post operative and gym based rehabilitation
- Objective strength, power and return to sport testing
- Injury prevention, athletic screening and performance development
- Collaboration with Sports Medicine Physicians, doctors and allied health clinicians
- Approximately one to two evening sessions each week will be required.

ABOUT YOU

Ideally, you will be an APA Titled Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist with at least five years of clinical experience. APA titling is strongly preferred but not essential.

If you are not titled or currently undergoing titling, minimum 3 year experience is preferred working in Sports Physiotherapy.

Applicants with fewer than three years’ experience may apply but must demonstrate exceptional clinical experience and significant involvement in high level sport or considerable sports coverage.

You will ideally have:

- Strong sports and musculoskeletal assessment and rehabilitation skills
- Experience working with adolescent athletes
- Sports team, competition or event coverage experience
- Confidence delivering progressive gym based rehabilitation
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills




- A collaborative and team focused approach
- Current AHPRA registration and Australian working rights
