The opportunity

Reporting to the CEO, as Director Corporate Services, you will provide executive oversight of finance and a broad corporate services portfolio. You will lead budget development, statutory reporting and organisational systems, while fostering a culture of accountability, improvement and strong customer service. You will also drive organisational development by building staff capability, strengthening service delivery, and embedding the systems and discipline required for long-term success.

This is a strategically significant role suited to an experienced leader with strong corporate governance and financial expertise, combined with a practical understanding of regional communities and public sector service. You will join the organisation at a time of renewal, with the opportunity to strengthen capability and help shape a modern, community-focused council.





About you

You will be a senior leader with experience across corporate services, finance, governance, business operations or a related field. You will bring strong analytical capability, sound judgement, the ability to lead change and a commitment to developing people, systems and organisational capability.

Your background will include senior leadership experience with a strong understanding of accounting, reporting, compliance and corporate governance. You will be confident leading teams, developing capability and driving improvement, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience in local government or similarly regulated environments will be highly regarded, as will CPA or relevant financial qualifications. Equivalent senior leadership experience in comparable roles will also be considered.
