Placements Administrator - Community Services/Early Childhood Education and Care
Laurus Education is seeking Placement Administrators to support the coordination and administration of student work placements across our VET health and community services qualifications in our Melbourne location.
These are 6-month fixed-term Full-Time positions created to support placement administration during a period of growth. One position will primarily support Community Services, Individual Support and Ageing Support, while the other will focus primarily on Early Childhood Education and Care, with opportunities for cross-coverage as required.
This is an ideal opportunity for a highly organised and detail-oriented administrator who enjoys working with students, documentation, compliance and external stakeholders.
About the Role
Reporting to the relevant Faculty Manager, the Placement Administrator will work closely with the placement team to ensure students are appropriately prepared and documented for their industry placements.
You will be responsible for reviewing and verifying student placement documentation, maintaining accurate placement records, managing placement agreements and responding to enquiries from students, placement providers and internal teams. The role also includes delivering monthly placement orientation workshops and supporting compliance with relevant VET and placement requirements.
This is a high-volume administrative role requiring excellent attention to detail, strong organisation and the ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining accurate, audit-ready records.
You will work collaboratively with the placement team and external providers to ensure placements are coordinated efficiently and students are supported throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify student placement documentation through aXcelerate
- Confirm student placement readiness against course and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date placement records
- Manage and maintain MOUs and tri-party placement agreements
- Cross-check agreements against relevant records and ensure documentation remains current
- Liaise with placement providers regarding agreements and documentation
- Maintain placement tracking spreadsheets and records across relevant qualifications
- Ensure placement information is accurate, consistent and well organised
- Support reporting and administrative requirements across the placement function
- Manage placement inboxes and respond to enquiries from students, providers and internal staff
- Triage, resolve and elevate placement-related enquiries as required
- Provide clear and professional communication throughout the placement process
- Plan and deliver monthly placement orientation workshops for students
- Maintain recorded orientation resources for ongoing student reference
- Ensure placement documentation and processes align with relevant regulatory and course requirements
- Work closely with the Placement Coordinator and Faculty Manager to prioritise placement activities
- Support consistent processes and effective handover of placement records
- Contribute to continuous improvement of placement administration and record keeping
About You
You are a highly organised and methodical administrator who takes pride in accuracy and enjoys working in a busy, student-focused setting.

Experience (Desirable)
- Experience within the VET or education sector
- Experience in student placement administration
- Knowledge of aXcelerate or similar Student management systems.
- Familiarity with Community Services and/or Early Childhood Education and Care
- Understanding of compliance and audit-ready record keeping
- Experience delivering workshops, briefings or student information sessions
