Alkimos College is seeking to appoint a highly effective and motivated Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Workplace Learning Officer (WPL) Officer (Pathways Support Officer) to join our Pathways team.

Located in the northern suburb of Alkimos with sweeping ocean views, Alkimos College opened in 2020 with our foundation Year 7 cohort, providing local intake area students with access to an exceptional secondary education in world-class learning facilities. Stage 1 buildings include administration, lower school student services, library, gymnasium, fitness centre, food studios, cafeteria, Information Technology labs, technologies workshops, general classrooms, science laboratories, and nature play area. Shared oval and community facilities with the City of Wanneroo are available via the adjacent Halesworth Park precinct. Stage 2 (rolled out in 2024), includes a performing arts centre, lecture theatre, senior school student services centre and general classrooms. The Role

The role of VET and WPL Officer (Pathways Support Officer) will entails the successful applicant to work closely with the Program Coordinators – Pathways, to support the operations of the VET, WPL and Careers Programs across Years 7 to 12, including establishing and maintaining program documentation, procedures, and support material. The successful applicant will ideally establish a network of local business to provide work placements, conduct site inspections and meet with prospective employers and/or Registered Training Organisations, as required and visit and monitor students on work placement, as required.

The role will see the successful applicant working predominantly across the senior school space but would also involve support for Years 7 to 9 careers programs, pathway events and career tasters.



As Pathways Support Officer you will ideally provide high level administrative support to the Program Coordinators.

The successful applicant will ideally be highly organised, and possess excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. They will ideally have a high level of attention to detail and be confident in working with students, staff, parents/carers, employers, as well as community/industry representatives.
