Architectural Account Manager - Architectural Door Hardware

Architectural Account Manager – Premium Architectural Door Hardware

We’re working with a respected premium architectural hardware brand that has become a trusted name within Australia’s high-end residential and boutique development market.

Their success hasn’t come from volume or aggressive selling, it’s come from consistency, detail, and long-term relationships with architects, interior designers, and builders who value specification accuracy and product integrity.

As the business continues to grow across Melbourne and Victoria, they are now looking for an experienced Account Manager to take ownership of existing relationships, strengthen specification continuity, and work closely with architects and project partners across live and ongoing developments.

From an architectural perspective, this is not a cold hunting role. It’s about stewardship, making sure that what has been specified continues to be supported, detailed correctly, delivered smoothly, and maintained as projects evolve from concept through to construction.

You’ll sit at the centre of the relationship between design, sales, and delivery, working closely with Business Development Managers, the Sales Team, and the National Sales Manager to ensure projects are not only won, but successfully carried through.

The Role:

You will be responsible for managing and nurturing a portfolio of architectural and builder relationships across Melbourne’s premium residential and boutique commercial market.

Your focus will include:

- Managing and strengthening existing architect, interior designer, and builder relationships.

- Supporting Business Development Managers by taking ownership of live and specified projects.
- Ensuring continuity of specification from design intent through to procurement and delivery.
- Acting as the key point of contact for allocated accounts and project stakeholders.
- Working through drawings, schedules, and specifications to ensure accuracy and alignment.
- Coordinating internally with sales, operations, and project teams to ensure smooth delivery.
- Identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and expand product engagement within existing accounts.
- Attending client meetings, project coordination sessions, and occasional showroom presentations.
- Maintaining strong, consistent communication across all assigned accounts.

What We’re Looking For:

This role will suit someone who understands that in architectural specification, long-term trust matters more than transactional selling.

You will likely come from:

- Account management or relationship management within architectural products or interiors.
- Specification sales environments such as hardware, lighting, surfaces, flooring, kitchens, tapware, or similar premium categories.
- A role working closely with architects, designers, builders, or developers.

You will also bring:

- Solid relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings, schedules, and specifications.
- A calm,

considered communication style, someone who builds trust over time.
- Experience working collaboratively with sales teams and internal stakeholders.
- Commercial awareness without being overly aggressive or transactional.
- High attention to detail and strong follow-through on commitments.
- A team-first mindset, comfortable supporting both BD and delivery functions.
- Strong organisation and account planning capability.

Why This Role Works:

This is a role for someone who enjoys depth over volume.

You won’t be pushed into constant cold acquisition, instead, you’ll be working within an established network of architects, designers, and builders where relationships already exist and need to be strengthened, supported, and expanded.

You’ll be joining a team that understands how specification businesses work, where success is driven by collaboration between business development, account management, and internal delivery teams rather than siloed selling.

For someone who enjoys being close to projects, staying connected to design outcomes, and playing a key role in ensuring things get delivered the way they were intended, this is a strong fit.

Package:

$100,000 – $120,000 Base Salary + Super.

- Performance-based Bonus Structure.
- Flexibility to run your desk as your own business, schedule your own appointments. No need to start and finish in the showroom every-day.
- Structured onboarding and product training.
- Access to a premium showroom environment.
- Strong support from Business Development and Sales teams.
- Established brand reputation within the Melbourne A&D; market.
