Principal Project Manager Fit Out Construction

Temporary appointment up to two (2) years
SS1 - $144,421 pa + superannuation

The Department for Infrastructure and Transport plays a vital role connecting people and places in South Australia by managing roads, marine and public transport networks across the State, and builds and maintains the State-owned infrastructure that enables the delivery of essential and important government services to our community.

The Property Directorate Fit Out Construction team delivers high quality government office accommodation and workplace projects, providing expert project management, governance and strategic advice to create fit-for-purpose, compliant and value-driven workplace solutions across government.

We are seeking a highly motivated and outcomes-focused project leader with demonstrated experience delivering commercial fit-out, construction or property projects across South Australia.

The successful candidate will possess robust commercial, procurement and contract management skills, exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication abilities, and the capacity to provide strategic advice, manage risk, lead design and construction teams to deliver quality outcomes in a property and leasing environment.

Educational Qualifications / Licences

Tertiary Qualifications in architecture, design, project management or related discipline will be highly regarded.

Knowledge of project management software such as Microsoft Project.

A current driver's licence is essential.

Special Conditions





A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.

Some out of hours and weekend work along with some intra/interstate travel may be required.
