Job Description

AECOM’s cost management services provide specialized expertise across project life cycles to reduce client risk, improve value and deliver positive outcomes in all sectors of the built environment. As a Cost Management Intern, you’ll gain exposure to both pre- and post-contract activities, supporting key commercial functions on a range of dynamic projects.

How you’ll make a difference:

- Assist with cost modelling and cost planning to support project budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Support procurement activities, including managing tender processes and documentation.
- Contribute to financial and due diligence reporting to inform project decision‑making.
- Help review and manage change control procedures to ensure commercial accuracy throughout project delivery.

Qualifications

- Summer Intern attributes: Interns who are curious and excited to apply their studies in a professional environment. You'll bring strong communication and teamwork skills, a positive and proactive attitude, adaptability, and a commitment to professionalism and integrity.
- Bachelor’s Degree: You must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or any related discipline.
- Commencement: Able to work full time hours from mid November 2026 – mid February 2027.
- Working Rights: You must have full working rights to work in Australia or Current Zealand before applying. We do accept candidates with student and graduate visas.
