We are seeking an experienced Concrete Supervisor to manage commercial concrete crews and coordinate day to day site delivery.
The successful applicant will be responsible for planning works, managing labour, maintaining quality and safety standards and ensuring concrete packages are completed in accordance with project requirements and program dates.
Key responsibilities
- Supervising concrete crews and subcontractors
- Planning daily activities, labour and equipment requirements
- Coordinating concrete pours from preparation through to completion
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Checking formwork, reinforcement, set-out, levels and pour readiness
- Coordinating with project managers, builders, suppliers and other trades
Managing pre pour inspections and quality documentation
- Monitoring workmanship and rectifying quality issues
- Maintaining protected work practices and site compliance
- Completing daily records, photos, dockets and site paperwork
- Tracking progress against the construction program
- Mentoring apprentices, labourers and developing crew members
A typical day may involve
A typical day may include completing a pre start with the crew, reviewing drawings and planned activities, coordinating labour and materials,
checking that works are ready for inspection, managing a concrete pour and communicating progress or site issues to the project team.
The Supervisor will remain hands on where required while maintaining control of safety, quality, productivity and site coordination.
What we are looking for
- Previous experience supervising concrete crews
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and levels
- Strong understanding of concrete preparation, placement and finishing
- Experience coordinating concrete pumps, suppliers and subcontractors
- Construction Industry White Card
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to plan ahead and solve site issues
- High standards of safety, quality and presentation
Relevant supervisory, plant or high risk licences are an advantage
