Job Description

NCS Australia is seeking an experienced Senior FinOps Practitioner to join our Cloud & Digital Practice. This customer-facing consulting role focuses on delivering FinOps advisory, cloud financial management, governance, and cost optimization services across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

The successful candidate will work with enterprise customers to optimize cloud investments, improve financial accountability, enhance FinOps maturity, and support business growth through consulting and pre-sales engagements.

- Deliver FinOps consulting and cloud financial management services across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Conduct cloud financial assessments and identify cost optimization opportunities across cloud services.
- Develop FinOps strategies, governance frameworks, and continuous improvement roadmaps aligned to business objectives.
- Drive cloud cost optimization through rightsizing, commitment management (Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, CUDs), resource lifecycle management, and architectural recommendations. Support FinOps pre-sales activities including discovery workshops, solution design, proposals, effort estimation, and SOW development.
- Lead FinOps maturity assessments and provide executive-level reporting, dashboards, MBRs, and QBRs using Flexera One CCO and native cloud cost management tools.
- Provide forecasting, budgeting, showback/chargeback, cost allocation, and cloud consumption analytics.
- Support migrations to Flexera One CCO and establish cloud financial governance best practices. Facilitate customer workshops, executive presentations, architecture discussions, and stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with Cloud Architects, Delivery Teams, Customer Success Managers, and Technical Account Managers to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Qualifications

- Significant years of experience in FinOps, Cloud Consulting, Technical Account Management, Service Delivery, Cloud Financial Management.
- Strong expertise in AWS, Azure, and GCP commercial and billing models.




- Hands‑on experience with Flexera One CCO (Highly preferred), AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management & Billing, Google Cloud Billing and CloudHealth (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of: o Cost optimization and governance o Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis o Cost allocation, showback, and chargeback o Multi‑cloud financial management o FinOps Framework and best practices o FinOps pre‑sales strategies o CloudHealth‑to‑Flexera One migrations o Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills o Power BI, Tableau, SQL and Amazon QuickSight reporting
- Experience presenting executive‑level business reviews (MBR, QBR) and managing enterprise cloud portfolios.
- Excellent stakeholder management, consulting, workshop facilitation, and communication skills.
- Experience delivering measurable cloud cost savings and governance outcomes.
- Experience within Managed Services, Cloud Professional Services, or large‑scale cloud transformation programs.

Preferred Certifications

- Flexera Certified Cloud Cost Optimization Administrator (Highly Preferred)
- FinOps Certified Practitioner
- FinOps Certified for AI Value 2026
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
- Google Cloud Digital Leader or Associate Cloud Engineer
- Project Management Professional (PMP) & ITIL Foundation certification.
