Our client is a well established financial services organisation with a strong reputation in the industry. They're currently investing in strengthening their compliance and governance framework, and are looking to grow their compliance team with a Compliance Specialist.
About the Role
This is a properly generalist compliance role sitting within a great team. You'll play a key part in ensuring the organisation meets its regulatory and governance obligations, working closely with the Compliance Manager and a team of specialists. Given the breadth of the role, this suits someone who enjoys variety and wants true end to end exposure across compliance, rather than a narrow, siloed function.
Responsibilities
- Managing breach identification, assessment and reporting processes
- Reviewing marketing and disclosure material
- Supporting AML/CTF obligations and monitoring
- Building and maintaining solid relationships with internal stakeholders,
including at senior level
- Supporting oversight of relationships with external service providers from a compliance perspective
- Contributing to the ongoing development of compliance policies, procedures and governance documentation
About You
- A legal background is highly regarded, along with experience from a mid to large sized financial services organisation
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential given the stakeholder facing nature of this role
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders
- Experience with breach management is a key requirement
- Working knowledge of AML/CTF obligations is highly regarded, though not essential
- A proactive self starter who is comfortable owning tasks and working autonomously within a small team
