We're looking for aneCommerce & Trade Specialistto help manage and grow our online stores across six markets. This is a full-time position based in our Hawthorn, Victoria office.
You'll be responsible for the day-to-day trading and merchandising of our websites, ensuring new products are launched accurately and on time, site content is kept fresh, and customers have a seamless online shopping experience.
Working closely with our Buying, Marketing and Development teams, you'll help bring product launches and key initiatives to life while using performance data and customer insights to identify opportunities to improve our websites.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is highly organised, commercially minded and has a strong eye for detail.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day trading and merchandising of our six eCommerce sites
- Upload and launch new products, ensuring product information, imagery, pricing, stock and merchandising are accurate
- Write and manage product copy across all new and existing products, ensuring it is clear, engaging and aligned with our brand voice
- Work closely with the Buying team to plan and execute new product and collection launches
- Coordinate website updates and campaign changes across multiple markets
- Work closely with our Web Developer to brief, coordinate and QA website updates, enhancements and fixes
- Support the ongoing optimisation of the website experience, identifying opportunities to improve navigation, merchandising and conversion
- Monitor website performance and key trading metrics across each market
- Prepare regular eCommerce reports and provide insights and recommendations to the wider team
- Manage website content, collections, navigation, banners and other onsite merchandising
- Ensure websites are accurate, up to date and optimised across all markets
- Conduct regular site checks and QA to identify and resolve errors or issues
- Stay across eCommerce trends,
competitor activity and opportunities to improve the customer experience
- Keep website launches, updates and priorities organised across multiple markets
What we're looking for
- 2+ years' experience in eCommerce, digital, online retail or a related role
- Experience working with Shopify is desirable
- Strong understanding of eCommerce merchandising and website management
- Excellent written communication skills, with experience writing product copy highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Comfortable working with website analytics and performance reporting
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple markets, projects and deadlines
- Confident working cross-functionally with Buying, Marketing, Creative and Development teams
- Commercially minded, with an understanding of how website merchandising can drive conversion and sales
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with the confidence to identify issues and find ways to improve them
- A genuine interest in eCommerce, digital trends and creating great online customer experiences
