St Alberts College is seeking a reliable and motivated JuniorMaintenanceOfficer to join our Maintenance team. This position is ideal for someone looking to build a career in facilities,maintenance, and property services within an educational workplace.

The successful applicant will assist in maintaining the college's buildings, grounds, and facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with generalmaintenanceand repair tasks across the college campus.

Perform routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment.

Carry out minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, and handyman duties as required.

Maintain outdoor areas, including gardening, mowing, edging, and general groundskeeping.

Complete cleaning duties including:

Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas.

Cleaning classrooms, offices, staff facilities, and common areas as required.

Emptying bins and managing waste disposal and recycling.

Cleaning windows, outdoor furniture, and other facilities.

Assisting with emergency cleaning and spill response when required.

Support the setup and pack-down of college events and activities.

Assist with deliveries, stock movement, and equipment transportation.

Respond tomaintenanceand cleaning requests in a timely and professional manner.

Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.





Current and valid Australian Driver's Licence.

Demonstrated ability to undertakemaintenanceand cleaning duties.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling and outdoor work.

Commitment to workplace health and safety practices.

Eligibility to work in Australia.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

Previous experience inmaintenance, cleaning, facilities management, groundskeeping, or a related field.

Experience working in a school, college, or educational workplace.

Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
